I don’t know why, but I feel so much more confident at work since we have had to wear face masks. I dread the day we don’t have to wear them.
So often at work we have to smile when we are exhausted, smile when customers are rude to us, smile when our supervisor or manager moans at us, smile, smile, smile!
I don’t have anything against smiles…only it is so great not have to smile when you don’t feel like it. Also, I have been yawning a lot behind my face mask – and I love that. Nobody knows!
I don’t need to worry about my make-up, or a rogue spot on my chin, or whether I forgot to wipe toothpaste away from my lips, my boss cannot tell if I am chewing gum, so I don’t get told off. I just love face-masks!!!
Oh yeah, I’m a people pleaser, and I always feel obliged—or at least maintain a shitty grin—whenever I’m around others. With the masks though, I can scowl (at least that’s what I think my resting face looks like) without a care in the world. Thanks for this post!
